Let the bodywork begin

So I started off checking for rust in the usual places- Thankfully the front inner sills were as solid as the day they were made. I wire brushed everywhere the fender will cover/ hide when it goes back on, cleaned it, then shot it with spray on undercoating. I will use the heavy duty stuff on the rest of the wheel wells later.

Right fender- needs some cleaning.  This side has multiple longer bolts
along the hood side that went through to hold the "bonnet" release cable.

Very happy about this side also- a lot of these are completely rusted out- none on this one!

I cleaned the dirt off, wire wheeled it, then sprayed the inners down with brake cleaner.
Brake cleaner leaves no residue or oils behind.

The spray got a little thick where the upper inner splash shield is.   I have new upper and lower seals from
Moss show up to finish it out.   The humidity is horrible, so it will take til tomorrow to dry.  Then I can get started
on bolting on the splash shields and cleaning/ priming the inner fenders.
